Informationen über den Maler wurde in den bekannten amerikanischen Zeitschriften "Art News" und "Art of America" veröffentlicht , in den der Maler von 1992 bis 1998 unter dem Namen "Avtandil" erwähnt ist. Ausstellungen: Tbilisi -- Kiew -- Moskau -- Atlanta -- Berlin -- Bayreuth -- Philadelphia -- Washington D.C.

Avtandil Makharoblidze was born in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, in 1952. He graduated from the Tbilisi Academy of Art in 1975. His emotional and evoative oil and mixed media paintings have received wide exposure at numerous invited regional and national exhibitions in the Soviet Union. He has also exhibited his paintings at the New Vision Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia and was a featured artist at the Georgien Cuture Frendship Fest held in Atlanta,Georgia in September,1991. Are paintings of Avtandil and his wife, Ketevan Maglakelidze, were highlighted in a special exhibition of their collected works in Tbilisi this past July. Currently, selections of his work are on display at the Oskar Gallery in Washington D.C, Trinity Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia,the Sloan Gallery in Denver, Colorado, and the Enas Gallery in Berlin, Germany. Avtandil now lives in Tbilisi with his family where there they share not only living quarters,but also a large teaching and working art studio.
